I know things are hectic right now, its really physically, mentally, and emotionally taxing to do much of anything right now. But I came up with a letter you can send through Resistbot (text 50409) to your state legislature about COVID-19, police brutality, and the Earn It Act that the government is trying to pass to limit our freedoms with the protests.
I'll put the content of the letter at the bottom of this. But if you do decide to send it you can just copy paste it, edit it how you like.

My name is _______. I live in _________ and for the most part I have been fortunate enough to be unaffected by many of the current events happening such as the protests and the Coronavirus. But as your constituent I am worried that not enough is being done to keep it that way.
The Coronavirus has shown that unfortunately our country is not prepared for a pandemic. At all levels of government I cannot abide by the inflated budgets of our military and police when healthcare and community services like libraries are being given such paltry amounts. Healthcare and community service budgets should be increased, preferably at the expense of military and police budgets.
Speaking of our police, I cannot abide by the police brutality that has been shown and continues to be shown, specifically during the protests against police brutality. The American police system is corrupt and encourages police officers to see normal citizens, especially black people and other minorities, as criminals first, obstacles second, and potential victims as a very distant third. The police system has too much funding, too much military training, and too much time on their hands. The police need to be defunded and have those funds put to actual use to protect and serve this country. As the Supreme Court ruled that the Police did NOT have a duty to protect and serve the American people; neither I nor the American people should suffer having our tax dollars used on a service that is not even required to do anything for us.
As the police have been assaulting and murdering protestors and people of color, the government is trying to use this as an opportunity to push forward the Earn It Act. Allowing this bill to pass would be a gross attack on the American peoples freedoms, limiting our Bill of Rights, amendments 1 through 4, freedoms.
The American people should not be subjected to a government that has limited our privacy to such a point that we cannot even talk about necessary change without being censored or deemed unlawful. Limiting our freedoms such can only lead to tyranny and fascism. And despite the prevalence of Nazis in right factions, no true American should suffer a Nazis words or actions. Do your American duty to prevent fascism, tyranny, and Nazis. Do your elected duty and campaign for your constituents' rights and beliefs.
